Primary Uses
Indications
This medicine is used for the treatment and prevention of bronchospasms caused by reversible obstructive airway diseases (asthma and COPD) in adults, adolescents, and children.
Side Effects
Patients administered with the medication may experience palpitations, chest pain, tachycardia, headache, dizziness, tremors, nervousness, nausea, dry mouth, increased coughing, runny nose, and hypertension.
Warnings
Pregnancy
Consult your doctor before taking this medication during pregnancy.
Lactation
Caution should be taken as risk cannot be outruled in lactating females.
Precautions
Observe caution in case of the following disorders: diabetes, heart problems, high blood pressure, kidney diseases or seizures. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery after using this medication as it may cause dizziness.
Contraindications
The medication should not be used in patients that have a known hypersensitivity to levalbuterol HCl or salbutamol.
