How To Use For Gixer 10mg
- For oral administration i.e. via the mouth only
- Max dose in adults & children above 12 years is 10mg tablet once in a day.
- In children between 6 to 12 years, cetirizine is used 5mg taken twice daily.
- Swallow the whole tablet with full glass of water
- In case a dose is missed, then take it as soon as you remember on the same day. However, if next day has arrived, then take only that day’s dose and don’t double it.
- If self-treating and using it as over-the-counter medication, then read the product information leaflet before using cetirizine

Not recommended for use in patients having habit of daily alcohol consumption
Inform doctor of all OTC & prescription medications as cetirizine adverse effects can increase with medications like sedatives & tranquilizers (sleeping pills)
Inform doctor before using Gixer, if you have/had epilepsy or convulsions recently or in the past

Precautions
Not recommended for use in patients having habit of daily alcohol consumption. To be used with caution in elderly patients. Cetirizine can cause mild to moderate CNS (central nervous system) depression which results in lack of concentration & sleepiness. Therefore, avoid driving or performing high alert activities. Do not use it if you have severe kidney disease, or allergic to hydroxyzine, or drugs in piperazine family (like buclizine, meclozine, cyclizine). Gixer tablets can have lactose in it, so patients with intolerance to certain sugars, should not use this medication
