Epilepsy
Indications
This medication is recommended in patients with bipolar disorder (mood disorder) who are not responding well to lithium.
Side Effects
Patients using this medication may at times experience upset stomach, diplopia (double vision), dry mouth, and drowisness. If you experience any of these symptoms for a long period of time, please consult your doctor.
Warnings
Pregnancy

Lactation
Research suggests that this medicine should be avoided by women who are breastfeeding.
Driving
Please avoid driving when taking this medicine as it may affect your ability to drive.
Alcohol

Contraindications
This medication should be avoided in patients with A-V conduction abnormalities (conduction of cardiac impulses) unless paced.
