Indications
This drug is used for the treatment of acute gastritis which can manifest as heart burn, epigastric pain, hyperacidity, indigestion, or actue aggravation of chronic gastritis.
Side Effects
This drug can cause diarrhea, dizziness, rash, tiredness, development of breats in males, occasional reversible liver damage, and confusion. Very rarely it can also cause interstitial nephritis (increased spaces between kidney tubules), acute pancreatitis (inflammation of pancreas), decreased platelet count, decreased WBC count, decrease in all kinds of blood cells, aplastic anemia, fever, headache, muscular pain, joint pain, sinus bradycardia, increased heart rate, heaart block, anaphylaxis, hallucinations, depression, and reversible impotence.
Warnings
Pregnancy

This drug is contraindicated, or not recommended in lactating mothers. Consult your physician for better dvice.
Alcohol
Please avoid consuming alcohol when taking this medicine.
Precautions
Exclude malignant disease before treatment. This drug should also be used with caution in patients with impaired kidney function. Monitor patients on long-term therapy.
