This medication is indicated when short-term neuromuscular blockade (blocks impulses to the affected muscle to achieve paralysis) is required.
Side Effects
Patients using this medication may at times experience post-operative muscle pain. If you experience this for a long period of time, please consult your doctor immediately.
Warnings
Pregnancy
Risk can not be ruled out, so consult your doctor before using this medication.
Lactation
Consult your doctor before using this medication when lactating.
Driving
Please avoid driving when taking this medicine as it may affect your ability to drive.
Precautions
This medication should be used with extreme caution in patients with cardiac (heart) diseases.
Contraindications
This medication is not recommended in patients with family history of malignant hyperthermia (disorder in which there’s a rapid increase in body temperature and muscle contractions when the patients is put under general anesthesia).
