Primary Uses
Indications
This medication is used in patients for treating and preventing angina (chest pain), CHF (congestive heart failure) and myocardial infarction (heart attack).
Side Effects
Tachycardia (rapid heartbeat), hypotension (low blood pressure), heartburn, headache, dizziness, vomiting and flushing (skin turns red).

This medication should be taken only if needed. Consult your physician before taking this medication.
Lactation
The effects of this medicine in lactating females are unknown. Therefore, please consult your doctor before use.
Precautions
Patients with a history of myocardial infarction (heart attack), severe renal and hepatic impairment (kidney and liver failure), glaucoma (pressure in the eyes), hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland) and hypothermia should be cautious.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypotension conditions (low bp), pulmonary edema (excess fluid in lungs), anemia (), bradycardia (), stenosis (), glaucoma (pressure in the eye).
