Pregnancy

Precautions

It has strong withdrawal symptoms if stopped abruptly or if doses are missed too often, or if used for a very long time/in high doses. Therefore, follow the prescribed course of therapy. It can also cause addiction in some people, mostly in people with substance use addiction (with drugs or alcohol). Alprazolam not to be taken with opioids as increases risk of respiratory (lung) depression, sever sleepiness, coma & even death. Don’t start using this medication suddenly in an increased or decreased dose. If you have preexisting depression, alp can make depression worse or you may start having suicidal thoughts. Inform doctor immediately if this happens. It can cause severe allergic reactions. Avoid its use if you are allergic to alprazolam or any other ingredient present in ALP tablets as it may be fatal.
