Primary Uses
Bleeding
Indications
This medication is used in patients with menorrhagia (heavy or prolonged periods), prostatectomy (removal of the prostate), epistaxis (nose bleeding), and dental extraction in hemophilia (inherited bleeding disorder).
Side Effects
Hypotension (low blood pressure), nausea vomiting, diarrhea, gastrointestinal disorders, and dizziness.

During pregnancy, this medication should only be used when it is clearly required. Consult your doctor before taking this medication.
Lactation
Effects of this medicine are undetermined on lactating medicine, therefore, caution is advised for nursing females.

This medication should be avoided in patients with renal impairment (kidney failure), history of blood clots, heart diseases and in massive hematuria (blood in urine).
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment (kidney failure), thromboembolic disease (blood clots formed in veins) and in patients with complaints of seizure.
