This medicine is indicated in patients (above 12 years age) with diarrhoea. For reduction in risk of overt hepatic encephalopathy recurrence.
Side Effects
The side effects are as follows; bloating, gas, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, depression, headache, rash, muscle spasm, discoloration of urine and arthalgia (pain in the joint).
